What Sparked Ahmad’s Interest in Hospitality

Why did you decide to study hospitality?

Growing up, hospitality has always been part of my interests and personality. Without knowing it, I developed a passion to receive and entertain generously the people around me. I took the time to discover myself as an individual and decide which route to take. Thanks to this self-discovery trip, it has become clear that hospitality is certainly the way I would like to go.

What are you currently doing?

I am currently an intern at J5 RIMAL Hotel Apartments, Dubai, UAE. J5 RIMAL cleverly combines all the conveniences of a hotel with apartment-style accommodation so that guests can enjoy as much privacy as they desire. Taking some of the cooking and preparing for the guests has been a wonderful experience for me to develop and progress in the hospitality industry. At the end of the day, what’s better than a fresh meal?

What are your future plans?

As far as future plans are concerned, I can not say that I have a clear path for the years to come. There are still many experiences and routes to take from here, where this is just the beginning of my career.

What advice would you give to anyone who is interested in hospitality?

I advise all those who think of entering the field of hospitality to ask: do you like to put the happiness of others in front of yours? If the answer is yes, then hospitality is the industry for you.
