My Hospitality Journey – Vishesh Malkani

Why did you decide to study hospitality?

I have always intended to study something related to hospitality and tourism. When my last term in high school ended, I decided to do research on UAE hotel schools. I was impressed by the program offered by the Ecole Hôtelière Helvétique and decided to register. The program provides the amount of exposure I want in aviation and hospitality.

What are you currently doing?

I am currently studying my second year in Hotel Management at the Ecole Hôtelière Helvétique in Dubai. I am preparing for my short industry placement while deciding where my next internship will be. Apart from that, I spend time working on personal projects and events.

What are your future plans?

I intend to complete this program and obtain a master’s degree in hotel management. Subsequently, I plan to establish my own restaurant with the knowledge and experience that I will gain through this program.

What advice would you give to anyone who is interested in hospitality?

Hospitality is a vast area that welcomes people from all walks of life. Passion and interests keep people motivated in such a dynamic and tense sector. While you are in this industry, you will meet people from different cultural backgrounds, interests, and preferences. This industry allows you to celebrate your differences as individuals and grow together, stay motivated and learn new things!
